As the population of Memphis and Shelby County continues to grow and expand, the need for centrally located medical facilities grows with it. ETI
Corporation, working with Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation, designed a medical campus to serve the residents of the Collierville area. The project included a new 60-bed hospital and an attached 90,000
square foot Physician  Office Building. The initial stages of development of
the site included expansion, design and construction of the roadways surrounding the new hospital. Poplar Avenue was widened from a two-lane to a four-lane road, and Shea Road was designed and constructed as a
two-lane road. Particular attention and detail was given to the design of Shea Road where it intersects Poplar Avenue. A beautifully landscaped median, which ETI designed,
was developed at the intersection to keep the flow of traffic running safely and smoothly. Once the roadwork was completed, ETI moved into one of the most crucial phases of
development. The site contains a State controlled stream that runs through the property. In order to make any sort of development opportunity
possible, ETI extensively coordinated and obtained permission from FEMA to fill a portion of the stream, thus making the property more developable.
Additional services performed by ETI include zoning approval, drainage studies, sewer studies, detention pond design, loop roadway design, site design for both hospital and Physician Office Buildings, regulatory
permitting, utility coordination, preparation of construction documents, and construction management.
